Step 1: Prepare Batter
- Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in one bowl. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 2: Combine Ingredients
- Add egg and vanilla, then slowly mix dry ingredients and milk into the butter mixture until you get a smooth batter.

Step 3: Shape the Cakes
- Scoop small portions onto a lined baking tray, leaving space between each because they will spread during baking.

Step 4: Bake
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes until soft and set. Let them cool completely before filling.

Step 5: Add Filling
- Spread cream filling on one piece and gently press another on top to create a sandwich shape.
