  • 2 pounds yuca cassava, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

Step 1: Prepare the Yuca
  1. Peel the yuca carefully, remove the fibrous core, and cut it into medium-sized chunks for even cooking.

  1. Place yuca in a pot of salted water and boil until fork-tender, about 25 minutes.

  1. Drain thoroughly using a colander and remove any remaining tough fibers from the cooked yuca pieces.
