Ingredients
  

  • 3 –4 chipotle peppers in adobo
  • 2 tablespoons adobo sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup water adjust for consistency

Method
 

Step 1: Prepare the Peppers
  1. Take the chipotle peppers out of the can and roughly chop them. If you want milder heat, remove some seeds before blending.

  1. Add chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, garlic, vinegar, lime juice, honey, salt, and water into a blender. Blend until completely smooth.

  1. Pour the blended mixture into a small saucepan and simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes. This helps the flavors combine beautifully.

  1. If the sauce feels too thick, add a little more water and stir. Taste and adjust salt or lime juice as needed.
